09:02 pm: OMG ADULT ACTIVITIES GOING ON OVER HERE
I am looking into buying a house. >_> I put in the paperwork for pre-qualification for financing in case I find a place. I am excited, but trying not to get my hopes up that I'll find the perfect place for a good price.

Paranormal State is so unbelievably cheesy that part of me is ashamed that I am enjoying it. It makes me think of the show House where everything is lupus -- except on this show everything is DEMONIC ENTITIES. Yes, that required capitalization. All of their proof is conjecture and mediums and almost requires a common religious system (because of the rampant demons, don't cha know) to actually give the "results" much credence. I was raised Catholic so I get where he's pointing at with a giant neon blinking arrow, but I'm a skeptic at heart. Which is probably why I am a Ghost Hunters fangirl. (Grant! Jason! Eeee! Theirloveissogadgety!)

I do have to say this, though -- I ♥ Chip!

Woot, Dantrification has a new vlog post, How We Will Win. I don't agree with him on everything, but I think his point that this election is not about Obama, but about the people Obama represents is great. Plus, he quotes Gore Vidal (everyone should read Burr), so much love.

Have you registered to vote?

01:42 am: Samurai Girl
Brendan Fehr? HOT.
Campy adventure? CHECK.
Quirky sidekicks? CHECK.

However, fuck that ending. I'm pissed I stayed up this late to finish the show when THAT was the ending. *tired grumbles* cut in case you might actually care about a spoiler )

However, I do feel the urge to do a Roswell marathon. MMmmm, Brendan Fehr. Mmmm, Brendan Fehr and Majandra Delfino a la season 1.

So, I watched all 24 episodes of Goong in, oh, about 4 days. >_> And I just spent an hour drooling over pictures of Joo Ji Hoon. Um, yeah. Show me the pretty! )

I have been watching Goong and damn it, I can't take all this love triangle stuff but can't stop watching omfg. Pretty, pretty Koreans. Sad thing is, I have no clue wtf is going to happen, but I hope Shin and Chae-kyeong end up together. God, I can't believe I'm that wrapped up in this show.

I feel like puking. :( Bah. And I think I seriously fucked up my ankle a couple weeks ago, because it still hurts.

Anyhooitz.

I am still way, way into the Olympics. Poor US women's gymnastics. My cold little black heart almost felt bad when that one chick was trying not to cry. But... eh. I guess not too much since I just looked for a picture of her misery. >_>

Michael Phelps: Still Makin' Shit Look Easy. (But Jason Lezak is hotter, though.)

"My doctor said I needed to stop running and quit doing impact sports, and I handled it real well," Armstrong said. "I went home and told my husband my life was over." Kristin Armstrong, Boise native, wins Gold! She's funny, and she's from Idaho. That's all I need to know. MADE OF AWESOME.

I can't wait to get my tickets to to Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. I hope I'm not a dumbshit who forgets when tickets go on sale. I want me some hockey and speed skating.

09:48 pm: ahhhh
My sister's wedding is FINALLY OVER OMG. She became B's problem yesterday (I signed the marriage license, which kinda freaked me out, I don't know why) and today was the bbq. I almost puked last night when I gave the maid of honor toast and my legs were shaking so bad I thought I was going to fall off the stage.

But.

It is over. Over. Over! Whee!

I just got home from the bbq, said my final good-byes to the insane amount of family members who came (from San Diego, Oklahoma, Newark, to England). Things should be returning to normal tomorrow. I am so glad that I have Sunday to recover before I return to work on Monday. I am going to be lazy as hell and I love it.

Polynesian pulled pork is now my new favorite food. Holy schnikeys, that shit was GOOD.

Apparently I am going to Italy summer of 2010. The fam has declared it so, and who am I to argue? I am hoping that I will get to England next year to visit family. Two years seems too long to wait and I really, really want to have a man for me at every port LMFAO.

Am I the only one watching the Olympics? Go women's sabre!

07:27 pm: YAY
My dad gave me his 30gb iPod (wasn't big enough for him, apparently) and I found The Kahauanu Lake Trio on it. They are now serenading me with gorgeous Hawaiian music. God, I could listen to this all day.

06:27 pm: tasty tasty
I might be steadily working my way through a bottle of wine and being an Emotional Dumbass. I don't know what is wrong with me, but seriously. WTF. Now, I need MOAR WINE. And a cigarette. Yes.

12:20 pm: ah, bliss
I am on vacation this whole upcoming week (kinda...) because my sister's wedding is on Friday. And since I have so much family stuff to do during the week, and a few or 10 or 15 hours of work because I am a sick sick girl, I've allowed myself to do absolutely nothing this weekend. Nothing. I got a flat fixed Saturday morning, and that was about as strenuous as I've got. Plus, my cell phone died yesterday. My charger is at work. I'm taking that as a sign that it's a-ok for me to hide out in my apartment doing zilch for the weekend.

I read Cry Wolf yesterday, and while I have no interest in Briggs' Mercy Thompson books, I am very excited about her Alpha and Omega series. I'm burnt out on 1st person tough-chick paranormal serials. I hate love triangles (after trudging through the Anita Blake series, a love triangle is an insta-rage), and not even my love of urban fantasy will lure me into the Mercy series.

I did get my hands on a copy of Twilight, so I'm still glutton for punishment. I have to know, I just do. It's everywhere and I wanna see the trainwreck, too. Hopefully it will be so bad it'll stop me from reading the next book. I hope, but honestly I made it through Stroke of Midnight so I have a high literary pain tolerance, at least when it comes to Magical HooHahs.

I have no idea what to do with myself for the rest of the day. I need to work on my toast for D's wedding but I know what I want to say so it's just working in the opening and closing and making sure it works with the Best Man's toast. What I am worried about is fitting into my dress. >_> And finding pretty shoes I can wear and actually walk in since I sprained my ankle at her Bachelorette Party. >_> And no, I was not drunk when I did that. I was drunk after that, though. It was hilarious.

11:35 am: I LOVE YOU TOO BUT I'M GONNA MACE YOU IN THE FACE!
The Darjeeling Limited is weird. But. Adrien Brody and Owen Wilson in a girl fight is funny shit.

06:33 pm: Free books!
Like sci-fi, fantasy, or urban fantasy/paranormal? Then you should check out Tor's freebie bonanza, cus there are some pretty sweet books up for grabs until July 27th. I snagged CT Adams & Cathy Clamp's Touch of Evil (vamp/werewolf urban fantasy), John Wright's Orphans of Chaos (I'm really excited about this fantasy, it looks freakin' awesome), Patti O'Shea's In the Midnight Hour (demon/magic urban fantasy), Jo Walton's Farthing (post-WWII alternate history) and Tobsha Learner's Soul (I am incapable of classifying this one). I don't read much high fantasy or straight sci-fi, but if you do you should check it out because there are quite a few of those. Or if you like gothic horror, there's Cherie Priest's Four and Twenty Blackbirds.

Go forth, and download the goodness.

Improve Everywhere and Urban Prankster have had me lmfao for an hour. I love it.

06:36 pm: account creation?
Does anyone know if there's a stop block on account creation or something? I know the create journal option is back off, but can we no longer request journals if we're a paid user?
